Mr. George Hence Patterson, age 82, of Dalton, GA, passed away Monday, July 15, 2013 in the Hamilton Memorial Hospital in Dalton, GA. Mr. Patterson was born in Fannin County, GA to the late Lonnie and Maude Messer Patterson. He was a member of the Mt. Zion (Tumbling Creek) Baptist Church. He was retired from the D&W Carpet Plant where he had worked as a Warper Operator.He is survived by his wife, Darlene Patterson of the home; daughters, Deborah (Wayne) Parsons of Lafayette, GA, Gardenia (Audie) Caldwell of Dalton, GA, Charlene Woods of Dalton, GA; sister, Mrs. Elmarie Watson of Cleveland, TN; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 17th at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Clifton Patterson and Rev. Lloyd Deal officiating.Interment will follow in the Mt. Liberty cemetery.
