Mr. George Chandler Watson, age 78, formerly of Murray County, GA passed away December 27th, 2007 at his home in Fountain, FL. He was the son of the late William T. and Minnie Carver Watson of Fannin County, GA. Mr. Watson was a professional painter and later dealt in real estate and various other investments. He followed the Jehovah's Witness's faith. Survivors include two daughters and sons in laws, Minnie and Danny Everett of Varnell, GA, and Connie and Ronald Hughes of Chatsworth, GA; son, Everett Thomas Watson of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Amber Quinn, Tiffany Holland and Randall Quinn all of Dalton, GA and Natasha and David Pack of Chatsworth, GA; great grandchildren, Blake, Shayley and Shelby all of Dalton, GA; sister, Luevena Boersman of Ducktown, TN; brother, Henry Watson of Cleveland, TN; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday December 30th, at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Lewis Van Tassell officiating. Music was provided by Robert Martin. Interment followed in the Mobile Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Ronald Hughes, David Pack, Randall Quinn, Shawn Holland, Tony Wimpy and Arvil Patterson.
