George "Wade" Adams, age 81 of Turtletown, passed away on Saturday, March 23. He was born on July 1, 1942 in South Pittsburg, TN to the late George Washington Adams and Loma Spurling Adams. He was a member of Staffordtown Holiness Church. Wade enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, the outdoors and working as a timber logger. Wade was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Juanita "Tootsie" Swanson Adams; daughters, Mary Ann Adams and Judy Elizabeth Nicholson; son, David Michael Adams; grandson, Matthew Timothy Adams; siblings, James Richard Adams and Mary Ann Adams.
Survivors are daughters, Wanda Bice and Pamela Osorio (Israel) both of Turtletown; grandchildren, Lori Marie Elrod, Joseph Bice, Joanna Bice Trammell, Chelsea Underwood, Jenny Daughtery, Joshua Nicholson, Aaron Nicholson, Sandra Lee Picklesimer Smith, Levi Lee Christy; great-grandchildren, Devan Cribbs, Hannah Cribbs, Colt Carr, Remi Camarata, Isaac Chambers, Virginia Chambers, Tyler Nicholson, Katelyn Albertson, McKayla Smith, Colton Smith and Miguel Gomez; nieces, Donna Kaye Vanblaricum (John), Stephanie Duffey, Lisa Adams and Angela Murray; great-nieces and nephews, Chad Vanblaricum, Chance Vanblaricum, Jamie Williamson (Tonya), Almeda Boyd and Rita Carden; great-great-nieces and nephews, Hannah Williamson, Zackary Williamson, Zoey Williamson, Nicholas Henry and Skyla Henry; many cousins and other friends.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations of Copperhill with Rev. Guinn Green officiating. Interment followed in the Zion Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Israel Osorio, Levi Christy, Jamie Williamson, Billy Rose, John Vanblaricum, Chad Vanblaricum and Frankie Womble. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to defray final expenses.
