Mrs. Genova Mae Loudermilk DeWeese, age 78, of Mineral Bluff, GA passed away on August 17, 2025 at her home.

Genova was born December 15, 1946 in Copperhill, TN to the late Dennis Fleet and Emily Kate Twiggs Loudermilk. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved God and was deep rooted in her baptist faith. Genova was a loving and caring person who often put others first. She was very artistic through her talent of painting. First and foremost she was a homemaker but also co-owned and operated DeWeese Small Engine Repair along with her husband of 58 years.

Survivors include her loving husband, Lewis DeWeese; daughters and sons-in-law, Diana and Bryson Thomas and Joy and Chris Ford; grandchildren, Elijah Thomas, Emma Thomas, Tyler Ford, Olivia Ford and Sydney Ford; sister and brother-in-law, Fleeta and Bill Tate; brother and sister-in-law, George and Geneva Loudermilk; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Shadrick Guinn officiating. Interment followed in the Barnes Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Shadrick Guinn, Jacob Guinn, Bryson Thomas, Chris Ford, Elijah Thomas and Tyler Ford. The family visited with friends at the funeral home on Thursday prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m.
