Mrs. Geneva Dora Reid Blackwell McFarland, age 94, of Cleveland, TN passed away on February 8, 2025 in Chattanooga, TN. She was born in the Postell community on May 12, 1930 to the late George Oscar and Edith Kilpatrick Reid. Geneva had worked as a Ward Clerk for the Copper Basin Medical Center for a number of years and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Eugene Blackwell and Robert John "Bob" McFarland; son, David Blackwell; siblings, Edward Reid, Clyde Reid, Virginia Hughes, Vivian Hughes and Dorothy Rogers.

Survivors include her sons, Reid and Sherry Blackwell of Turtletown, TN and Jody Blackwell of Salisbury, NC; daughter-in-law, Janett Blackwell; grandchildren, Sgt. Chris E. (Beverly) Blackwell -Chattanooga Police Department, Traci (Thomas) Frye, Russell R. ( LaFleur) Blackwell (US Army, CSM retired), Traci Urbina, Serina Hinson; 14 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren; a very special friend, Mrs. Jackie Walker; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends,

Mrs. McFarland's wishes were to be cremated. The family will have a private service to honor her life and she will be laid to rest in the Crestlawn Cemetery. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer Association online
