G Gaynelle (Long) Ross, age 78, of Lansing, IL passed away November 23, 2011. Mrs. Ross was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Hammond, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas & Mary Long. She is survived by her husband Vernon; two daughters, Gaynetta Ross and Georgette (Tony) Sowash both of Dyer, IN; two granddaughters, Trudy & Sarah Sowash both of Dyer, IN; one brother Verlan (Wilma) Long of Maryville, TN; one sister Joyce (Jack) Porter of Conyers, GA; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Charlie Sartin officiating. Interment followed in Ross Family Cemetery. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge was in charge of arrangements. .
