Mr. Freddy Daniel Phillips, age 88, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025. Freddy was born to Frank Daniel Phillips and Pauline Panter Phillips on May 9, 1937 in Copperhill, TN.

Freddy was a graduate of the last graduating class of Copperhill High School in 1955. He worked with Tennessee Copper Company and Tennessee Chemical Company for 40 years, with most of those years as an electrician at the London Mill Plant.

Freddy is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 65 years, Geraldine Mull Phillips; baby sister, Barbara Jean Phillips; brother, Ronny Phillips; and nephew, Mark Phillips.

Freddy is survived by his daughter, Paula (Scott) Brooks of Copperhill, TN; grandson, Justin Brooks of Copperhill, TN; granddaughter, Amber Brooks of Copperhill, TN; five great-grandchildren, Aidan Garcia of Copperhill, TN, Vanessa Garcia of Clayton, GA, Kassidy Brooks and Asa Brooks of Colorado Springs, CO, and Kaylee Brooks of Trenton, GA; brother, Danny Phillips of Ellijay, GA; niece, Rhonda Bentley of Marietta, GA; and nephews, Jeff Phillips of Rochelle, GA and Jimmy Phillips of Marietta, GA.

A funeral service was held on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at 2:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Kevin Chapman officiating. Music was provided by Roy Tipton and Paula Culver. Interment followed in the Crestlawn Cemetery in Copperhill, TN. Pallbearers were Scott Brooks, Justin Brooks, Jeff Phillips, Albert Green, Timothy Bradley, and Landen Kennedy. The family visited with friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 12, 2025, prior to the service, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
