Obituary

Mr. Fred Jack Kilpatrick, age 93, of Turtletown, TN passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2013. Mr. Kilpatrick was born in Etowah, TN to the late William Fred and Lillie Talithia Crawford Kilpatrick. He was a member of the McCaysville First Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of WWII serving as a Staff Sergeant in the Army Air Corp from 1942 until Honorably discharged in 1945. He retired from Tri State Electric Membership Company after thirty plus years of service as Office Manager. He was a faithful member of the Turtletown Ruritan Club. Jack was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Guinn Ellen Kimsey Kilpatrick, son, Kent Kilpatrick, great-granddaughter, Carah Kimsey, brother, Jim Kilpatrick, brother-in-law, Leroy Rogers and sister-in-law Jayne Kilpatrick..He is lovingly survived by family members, Keith (Carolyn) Kilpatrick of Turtletown, TN; daughter-in-law, Angie (Jeff) Bailey of Cleveland, TN; brothers, Bob (Lydia) Kilpatrick of Copperhill, TN, Daniel Kilpatrick of Deland, FL, Harold (Suzy) Kilpatrick of Boynton Beach, FL; sister, Ruth Margaret Rogers of Etowah, TN; grandchildren, Andrew Kilpatrick, Will Scott, Rebecca Kimsey and Taylor Kilpatrick; great-grandchildren, Grace Scott, Emma Scott and Carder Kimsey. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 23rd at 10:00 a.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Pastor Ray Harper, Pastor Matthew McDaniel, Pastor Terry Gladson officiating. Gentleman serving as pallbearers include, Taylor Kilpatrick, Andrew Kilpatrick, Isaac Bailey, Will Scott, Jeff Bailey and Darren Kimsey. Honorary pallbearers include David Falls, Steve Adams, Ricky Peak, Paul Edmiston and Joe Hamby. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill Baptist Church cemetery with military honors conducted by the North Georgia Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.For those desiring donations in memory of Mr. Kilpatrick may be made to the Gideons International or to the Southern Baptist Convention's Cooperative Program, 901 Commerce Street, Nashville, TN 37203.
