Franklin "Pete" Howard Watson, Jr., age 83 of Epworth, GA passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022. He was born on May 7, 1938 in Cedartown, GA to the late Franklin Howard Watson, Sr. and Vera Williams Watson. Pete retired from LockheedMartin where he painted aircraft. He attended Hipps Chapel Church. Pete restored old cars, receiving a lot of first-place trophies and enjoyed gardening. He was preceded by his parents, twin brothers, Wildon Watson and Willard Watson; sister, Barbara Watson Wigington and stepdaughter, Frances Renee Colburn. Survivors are his wife, Carol Watson of Epworth, GA; stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Howard Dwayne (Lynn) Gallman of Adairsville, GA; brother, Douglas Watson of Canton, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Deborah Watson of Tate, GA; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends also survived. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, March 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins-Cobb Funerals and Cremations of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Delmar Davenport officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. from the Tate Cemetery, 301 Folsom Road, Fairmount, GA 30139, Sonaraville Township.
