The Akins Funeral of Blue Ridge announces the death of Frankie O. Harris, age 86, of Blue Ridge, GA who passed away Monday, March 28, 2011 at her home. Mrs. Harris was born on January 27, 1925 in Polk County, TN to the late Coleman Isaac Padgett and Emma Edith Poe Padgett. She worked as a clerk in the Ladies Department of Sky City for 14 years. She was a member of Cherry Log Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Seaborn L. Harris; and four brothers, Jim Padgett, Charles Padgett, Abraham Padgett, and Gerald (T.) Padgett.She is survived by two daughters, Faye Bailey and her husband Mike of Blue Ridge and Vivian Lowry and her husband Jim of Madisonville, TN; brother, Coley Padgett of Isabella, TN; sisters-in-law, Novella Foster, Othella Key, and Linda Harris; two brother-in-laws, Pat and Kenneth Harris of Blue Ridge; grandchildren, Steve Harrill, Michelle Harrill, Brian Burnette, and Mandy Norton; great grandchildren, Matthew Harrill, Terah Harrill, Hunter Lankford, Jeffery Burnette, Joseph Burnette, and Connor Norton; and special friend, Catherine Foster.Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Music will be by Rev. Doug Simonds. Pallbearers will be Gary Foster, Don Padgett, Ronnie Padgett, Chris Bailey, Travis Foster, and Van Foster. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Harris and Pat Harris. Interment will follow in Underwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday and especially from 6:00-9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help defray final expenses.
