The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces the death of Frank DeLane Wright, age 45, of Blue Ridge, Georgia who passed away Saturday, February 26, 2011. DeLane was a member of the Belltown Church of God and was a former employee of the Georgia State Patrol Post # 27 in Blue Ridge, GA. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and was preceded in death by his father, Frank Clay Wright. He is survived by children, Brandon (Beth) Wright of Blue Ridge, GA, Brandy (Jonathan) Locke of Copperhill, TN; his mother, Loretta Wright of McCaysville, GA; sisters, Doraine Rhodes of Ellijay, GA, Dorena (Brandon) Spring of McCaysville, GA; four grandchildren, Kaydence Wright, Destiny Anders, Journey Anders and Kylie Locke; his friend, Tina Branham of Blue Ridge, GA; many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 1st at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Jeff Key officiating. Music will be by William Wright. Pallbearers include Brandon Wright, Brett Rhodes, Scott Suits, Jeremy Danner, Brandon Spring, Jeff Holden and Jonathan Locke. Honorary pallbearers include Rick Wright, Terry Wright, Danny Newton, Harold Rhodes, Marshall Rhodes and members of the GA State Patrol Post # 27 in Blue Ridge, GA. Interment will follow in the Panwill cemetery with graveside military honors provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard. A white dove release will conclude the graveside service.
