Frank Thomas Davenport, age 62, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at his home. He was born on November 23, 1959 in Copperhill, TN to the late Floyd Henry Davenport and Ruby Lee Bradburn Davenport. Frank was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed building birdhouses. He was an avid baseball fan and a great baseball player in his younger days. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Roy Davenport, Ed Davenport, Paul Davenport, Jewell Edmonson, Homer Davenport, and Linda Davenport Shields. Frank is survived by his companion of many years, Anna Lou Postell of Epworth; siblings, Phillip (Kay) Davenport of Ellijay, Deborah Watson of Chatsworth; Leon (Cindy) Davenport of Mineral Bluff; and twin brother, Hank (Juanita) Davenport of Seymour, TN; and best friend, Richard Smith. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at 2:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Phillip Davenport, Jr. officiating. Music will be provided by Robert White. Interment will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Tweed, Jimmy Stockton, Stanley Ray, Randy Johnson, Travis Arp, and Randy Mathews.
