Frank Conard "Connie" Patterson, age 81 of Morganton, GA passed away peacefully at the Union County Nursing Home on Friday, April 21, 2023. He was the seventh son of a seventh son born to the Arvil Bruce and Sarah Bessie Weaver Patterson. Connie was preceded in death by his parents and was the last remaining sibling in a family of ten. He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Robert, Sarah Nell Hudson, Roselle Huffman Arp, Roey Zane, Bruce, Dan, Larry and Billy.

Survivors are sisters-in-law, Ann Patterson and Mary Ann Patterson; a host of nieces and nephews.

Connie lived in the Hemptown Community since he was two years of age. Living on the land passed down from his Grandparents. In his youth you could find him playing checkers or a game of horseshoes at Ollie Bruce's Grocery Store on Old Highway 76. He was a fan of the Atlanta Braves baseball and Atlanta Falcon football teams. Connie would tag along on trips to the golf course with his brothers that he loved and admired. In his later years he found independence while riding his "Mule" buggy to Red's Country Store where he made several friends. Connie enjoyed his time at the Union County Nursing Home keeping the halls hot being a people person. He was a member of Liberty Hill Church. Connie loved his church family and enjoyed joining in on all their activities.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, April 24, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from Liberty Hill Church with Rev. Bill Swafford officiating. Connie will lie in state at Liberty Hill Church from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour of 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be his nephews. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Liberty Hill Church Cemetery, C/O of Martha Brackett, 136 Forest Circle, Blairsville, GA 30512.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff for the loving care that Connie received while at the Union County Nursing Home.
