Obituary

Mary Frances Weaver, age 78, of McCaysville, GA passed away Monday, May 4, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Weaver was born on July 7, 1936 in McCaysville, GA to the late Frank Taylor and Parlee Jones Taylor. She owned and operated Weaver Auto Sales for many years. She had the distinction of being the first lady commissioner in Fannin County and served two terms as Post 2 Commissioner on the Fannin County Board of Commissioners. She worked as Secretary for the Fannin County Sheriff's Office. She also worked for the City of McCaysville and for BellSouth as a switch board operator. Mrs. Weaver is survived by her husband of 57 years, Leland "Bob" Weaver of McCaysville; children and spouses, Susan and Gary Hayes and Mike and Lydia Weaver, all of McCaysville; a sister, Louise Little of Canton, GA; grandchildren, Chris Kaylor, Chanda Patton, Daniel Shannon, Brenna Weaver, and Evan Weaver; great grandchildren, Laruen Kaylor, Jackson Kaylor, Blake Kaylor, Georgia Kaylor, Alivia Patton, Isabella Patton, Noah Patton, and Elijah Shannon; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Larry Russell officiating. Music was by Holly and Ryan Norton and Jerri Sue Massengale. Pallbearers were Bradley Davis, Todd Pack, Harry Doss, Tommy Woody, Van Quinn, Jerry Daves, and Bob Newman. Interment will follow in Copper Ridge Memory Gardens.
