Frances Juanita Thomas, age 86, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Friday, April 10, 2026 at her home. Mrs. Thomas was born in Blue Ridge, GA on April 29, 1939 to the late Charlie and Della Brown Pelfrey.

Frances loved gardening and planting flowers, and found peace in hunting and fishing. She enjoyed cooking for her family, singing in church, and dancing whenever she could. Above all, she cherished time spent with her loved ones.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Sam Thomas; and siblings, William Pelfrey, Kenneth Pelfrey, Joe Pelfrey, Dockey Pelfrey, Calvin Pelfrey, Gene Pelfrey, Margie Franklin, Christine Byrom, and Reathel Burgess.

She is survived by her children, Ronnie (Patricia) Thomas and Rhonda (Late, Mike) Evans; grandchildren, Tonya (Ryan) Walton and Jessie Thomas; great grandchildren, Cassidey, Dylan, K.J., Kelsey, Ayla, and Halle; and sisters, Loretta Hedden and Lois (Arvil) Patterson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 11:00 AM from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Nathan Stuart officiating. Music will be provided by Christina Rush and Brooke Franklin. Interment will follow the service in the New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jon Millsaps officiating. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Nathan Stuart, David Franklin, Keith Thomas, Kevin Thomas, Dylan Walton, and Ryan Walton. Honorary pallbearers will be: Terry Hedden, Steve Hedden, and Lonnie Pelfrey. Visitation will be held on Monday evening at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
