Frances Sowers Sullivan passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026.

She was born October 8, 1932 in Fannin County, GA to the late Oscar T. Sowers Sr. and Minnie Guice Sowers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Everette McVey in 1959 and Harold Sullivan in 1995.

Frances is survived by a brother, O.T. Sowers Jr.; several uncles, aunts, and cousins.

She is a member of First Baptist Church of Blue Ridge. She graduated from Blue Ridge High School, and Crandall Business College in Macon, GA.

She was a civil service employee, and retired from Dobbins Air Force Base in Marietta, GA.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Larry Williams officiating. Music will be provided by Gracie Barlett. Serving as pallbearers will be Bill Sowers, Butch Anderson, Jonathan Gibson, Danny Mashburn, Tim Lents, and Tyler Lents.
