Mr. Floyd Cole, age 72, of Mineral Bluff, GA passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2008 in the Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Born in Fannin County he was the son of the late James Polk and Ellen Susie Ross Cole. He worked in the maintenance Department for Shaw Industries. He was also a long time member of the New Jerusalem Baptist Church. Survivors included his wife Frankie Ann Townson Cole of the home; two daughters and one son-in-law, Jeannie and Roger Hyatt and Melissa Cole all of Mineral Bluff, GA; brothers, Grayson Cole of Mineral Bluff, GA and William Cole (Joanne) of Epworth, GA; grandchildren, Justin and Megan Hyatt. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Jerusalem Baptist Church with Rev. Grady Ray and Rev. Herman Bell officiating. Music was provided by the Caylor Family. Interment followed in the Church cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Roger Hyatt, Gene Davis, Robert Stepp, Michael Watkins, Mike Holloway, Ben Hawkins and Chris Beaver. The following gentlemen served as honorary pallbearers: Justin Hyatt, Kent Wallace, Jeff Wallace, Phillip Barker and Bobby Watkins. Akins Funeral Home of Blue was in charge of the arrangements.
