Mrs. Flossie C. Parr, age 94, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2008 in the Fannin Regional Hospital in Blue Ridge, GA. Born in Fannin County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Henry Green and Florida Ward Green. She was of the Baptist faith and was the wife of the late James Gordon Parr. She was preceded in death by four sons, Johnnie, Bobby, Larry, and Joe Parr. She is survived by three sons, Billy Parr of Blue Ridge, Gordon (Sam) Parr of Blue Ridge, and James Gary Parr of Dalton, GA; daughter, JoAnn Farmer of Blue Ridge, Carolyn Krahn of Chatsworth, and Joyce Ann Parr of Blue Ridge; a sister, June Russell of Blue Ridge; 12 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Marvin Poole and Rev. Randy Gray officiating. Music was by Rev. Marvin Poole, Daniel and David McClure, and Doug Harper. Pallbearers were David McClure, Daniel McClure, Randy Gray, Doug Harper, Greg Farmer, and Phillip Burch.
