The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces funeral services for Mrs. Florine Strickland Painter, age 75, of Blairsville, GA who passed away on Friday, March 5, 2010 at Chatsworth, GA. Born in Cherokee County, GA she was the daughter of the late Leman and Flora Mae Peardon Fann and wife of the late Robert S. Painter. Mrs. Painter was of the Baptist Faith. She was also preceded in death by her son, Roy Junior Brown; her daughter, Patricia Ann Christopher; brother, Charles Fann. Survivors include step-sons, Robert M. Painter, William G. Painter both of Dallas, GA; step-daughter, Mary Pickens of Jasper, GA; sisters, Moleen "Peggy" Corder of Smyrna, GA and Jo Brown of Blairsville, GA; ten grandchildren also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery.
