Fletcher Allen Knotts age 81 of Farner TN passed away Monday, December 26, 2016 at his home. Mr. Knotts was born on August 11, 1935 in Calhoun County, WV to the late Channing Joseph and Inez Monroe Knotts. He worked for Florida Power and Light as an account collector. Mr. Knotts was a member, deacon and Sunday School teacher at Liberty Baptist Church. He was a chaplain for American Legion Post #96. Mr. Knotts served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.Survivors are his wife, Myrna Knotts of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Douglas Allen Knotts (Joan)of Sevierville; daughter and son-in-law, Margie Baeumel (Keith)of Farner; grandsons, Allen Baeumel, Nathan Baeumel and Dakota Knotts; granddaughter, Mandy Raper; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Bryson and Joel Raper, Keira and Allie Baeumel.Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December 29, 2016, 2:00 p.m. from the Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Dickey officiating. Music will be by Janice Reid. Pallbearers will be Allen Baeumel, Nathan Baeumel, Keith Baeumel, Dustin Raper, Doug Knotts and Dakota Knotts. Members of the American Legion Post #96 of Copperhill Family will serve as a Honorary Escort. Military Honors will be provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
