Felmond Womble age 79, of Farner, TN passed away Wednesday, August 05, 2009 at his home. Mr. Womble was born in Polk County to the late Christopher and Dora Bradford Womble. He was a self-employed timber cutter and was a member of the Community Baptist Church. He is survived by two sons, Frankie and wife JoAnn Womble of Farner, TN, Johnny and wife Rita Womble of Cleveland, TN; two daughters, Dora Mae and husband, David Hayes of Old Fort, TN, Christy Womble Presswood of Cleveland, TN; five grandchildren, Sonya O'Dell, Jonathon, Starr, Damien and Diedra Womble; two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Friday, August 7, at 3:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Glen Buchanan and Rev. Mitchell Allen officiating. Music was by Judy Buchanan and Calla Mae Miller. Pallbearers included R.J.King, Robert Stiles, Irvin Melton, Tommy Nelson, James Dunn, Johnny Smith and Paul Johnson. Jonathon Womble and David Hayes served as an Honorary Escort. Interment followed in the Turtletown Baptist Church cemetery.
