Fannie Ann Atkins, age 76, of Epworth, Georgia passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025 in Jasper, Georgia.
Born on November 27, 1948, in Hall County, Georgia, Fannie was the daughter of the late John Henry Grizzle and Cora Bell Smith Grizzle. Devoted in her faith, she was a member of Riverside Church in McCaysville, Georgia. She worked for many years at Levi Strauss & Co., where she served as a seamstress. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; grandchild, Daniel Mealer; and siblings, Delo Grizzle, Lizzie Lingerfelt, Mattie Jones, Beulah Jones, and Ella Dunn.
Fannie is survived by her husband, Carl Atkins; son, Ronnie Holden; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Ann Segars and husband, Gary; grandchild, Cody Flowers; great-grandchild, Chloe Flowers; brother, Frank Grizzle (the late Margaret); sisters, Nola Lawson (the late Bryan) and Nora Anderson (Mark Strobe); many nieces, nephews, a host of extended relatives, and dear friends.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Gary Queen officiating. Music was provided by Brian and Wendy Bradburn. Interment followed in the Staffordtown Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Franklin Burk, Jeffrey Lingerfelt, Benny Powers, David Anderson, Ramone Goodwin, and Chris Anderson. Selected to serve as honorary pallbearers were Brian Bradburn and Jeffrey Barnes. The family visited with friends at the Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations of Blue Ridge, Georgia on Tuesday evening, November 11, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
