Evonne Sandra Tanner, age 74, of McCaysville, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024 in Gainesville. She was born on April 8, 1950 in Calhoun, to the late Ernest Homer Young and Pauline Lacous Young. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Diane Young, and daughter, Tammy Yancey.

Evonne is survived by her partner, Steve Self; sons, Mark Tanner and Johnathon Tanner; brother, Michael Young; sisters, Evelyn Young and Wanda Young; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.

A private graveside service was held on Monday, November 18, 2024 in the Antioch Church Cemetery in Talking Rock. Rev. Brett Curtis officiated.
