Mr. Everett Davis, age 87, of Morganton, GA passed away on Saturday, October 08, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Davis was born in Fannin County, GA on December 23, 1923 to the late Tom and Martha Long Davis. He served his country in the United States Army as a combat veteran during World War II. Mr. Davis was a farmer. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters. He is survived by a large number of nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral services were Monday, October 10, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from Wilscott Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Davenport officiating. Music was by Jessie and Lena Hill and the Charles Hendrix Family. Interment followed in the Wilscott Cemetery. Military honors were provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Pallbearers were Cody Bradburn, Dillon Ponders, Terry Long, Grady Turner, Charles Hendrix and Reggie Hendrix.
