Evelyn Mashburn Walker, age 89, of the Liberty community, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023 in Knoxville. She was born on September 17, 1934, in Polk County, to the late Walter Oren Mashburn and Pauline Baliles Mashburn Graham. Evelyn was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She was a loving homemaker and also an artist. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 54 years, Curt Walker; her brother, Walter Mashburn; her granddaughter, Tara Hooper; and her great-great-grandson, Baylor Dalton.

She is survived by her children, Bobby (Judy) Walker, Phyllis (James) Murphy, and Linda Walker; grandchildren, Jeremy Dilbeck, Amanda (Jeremiah) Jack, Toshia (Mikey) Worley, Scott Painter, Jerome (Tanya) Walker, and Robin (Brian) Bowling; great-grandchildren, Kayla Jack, Kristen (Thai) Pham, Hannah Jack, Faith Jack, Jasmine Painter (Ronnie) McClure, Megan (Iain) Price, Macy Worley, R.M. Worley, Gabriel Bowling, Tara Bowling, Matthew Bowling, Scarlett (Tyler) Gibson, Carrie (Christopher) Dore, and Joshua (Rochelle) Hooper; and great-great-grandchildren, Silas Smith, Leo Smith, Ellie Smith, Hazel Gibson, Adam Gibson, Carolina Dore, Jasper Hooper, and Raeleigh Hooper.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 3:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Jeremiah Jack officiating. Music will be provided by Champ Prince. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Thai Pham, Anthony Smith, Mikey Worley, Iain Price, Joshua Hooper, and R.M. Worley.
