Mrs. Evelyn Sisson, age 84, of Riverdale, GA, died Tuesday, February 21, 2012, in Fayetteville, GA. She was a native of Fannin County, daughter of the late Clyde and Lou Emma Shirley Tanner. She was the wife of the late France E. Sisson. She was a member of the Church of Christ and a homemaker. Mrs. Sisson was preceded in death by siblings, Carl "Buddy" Tanner and Judy "Kricket" Carver.She is survived by daughter, Jane (Jim) Sheridan of Fayetteville, GA; son, Max Sisson of Blue Ridge, GA; three sisters, Ruth Thomas, Ruby Forrester, and JoAnn Brown all of McCaysville, GA; brother-in law, Dale Carver of Ducktown, TN; grandson, Sean (Angie) Deal of Griffin, GA; great-granddaughter, Abbey Deal. Several nieces and nephews also survive.Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 23, at 2:00 P.M. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Minister Keith Ritchie and Minister Ted Brooks officiating. Pallbearers include, Jerry Williams, Don Dilbeck, Bobby Loudermilk, Donald Forrester and Steve Oliver. Interment will follow in the Church of Christ cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM to 9:00 P.M, The family request donations in memory of Mrs. Sisson be made to the Adopt-A-Pet or the local Animal Care Facility.
