Mrs. Evangeline Mull Cole, 92, of Blue Ridge, GA, entered into the presence of her Heavenly Father on June 2, 2016. Mrs. Cole was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Charles Dugger Cole; her loving parents, Horace and Minnie Barnes Mull; three sisters and four brothers.Mrs. Cole was a life-long resident of Fannin County and was the Valedictorian of her high school class. She was married at Blue Ridge First Baptist Church where she was a member. She worked for many years as a social worker at the Fannin County Welfare Department for her mentor and friend, Mrs. Thelma Bevan.Evangeline was a loving wife and mother who always put her family first and steadfastly devoted her life to their happiness and well-being. Grand Vannie, as she was always affectionately known to her grandchildren, reveled in her role as grandmother and family matriarch. She was a talented storyteller and regaled her children and grandchildren with stories of her childhood in her large family.Survivors include her daughter, Gail (Barry) Timmerman of Augusta, GA: her sons, Charles (Linda) Cole of Cumming, GA and Timothy Cole of Blue Ridge; six grandchildren, Benjamin Jackson, Augusta, GA, Cole Jackson, Augusta, GA, Taylor (Jamie) Cole, Cumming, GA, Allyson Cole, Cumming, GA, Alex Sapp, Macon, GA, Kevin Sapp, Cumming, GA; and a great granddaughter, Madison Cole of Cumming, GA. She is also survived by her sisters, Ruth Butt and Cylma Hemphill, both of Blue Ridge as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Taylor Cole and Min. Butch Jones officiating. Interment followed in the Chastain Memorial Park immediately.
