DEVOTED HUSBAND, FATHER AND SERVANT OFJEHOVAH GOD Mr. Eulous Eugene Southern, age 63, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Monday, January 25, 2010 at his home. Mr. Southern was born in Ellijay, GA on October 15, 1946 to the late Eulous Southern and Lemma Bearden Southern. Gene was a family man who loved his entire family wholeheartedly. He dedicated his life to the doing of God's will by faithfully telling others about the Good News of God's Kingdom and its future promises. He enjoyed devoting his time, energy and skilled construction talents to the volunteer work of constructing new Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses throughout Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Southern of Blue Ridge, GA; sons, Jeffrey Mark Southern and his wife Daphyne of Epworth, GA and Stephen Aaron Southern of Blue Ridge; brothers, Mack Southern of Loganville, GA, Jerry Southern of Ellijay, GA and Jimmy Southern of Ellijay; sisters, Frankie Burnett of Tucker, GA, Shirley Ledbetter of Atlanta, GA, and Irene Cox of Duluth, GA. Graveside services were conducted Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. from Copper Ridge Memory Garden with Elder Daniel Allen officiating. Pallbearers include: Gene Hanie, Rob Coleman, Keith Myers, Dan Colwell, William Townsend and Clifford Hooten. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. from Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Blue Ridge with Elder Lewis Van Tassell officiating.
