The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces funeral services for Mrs. Eula Mae Earley Smith, age 76, of Blue Ridge who passed away on March 30, 2009 at her home. Born in Cherokee County, NC she was the daughter of the late Otis and Effie Bates Adams. Mrs. Smith was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Ron Smith of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Mike Sr. and Judy Earley of Blue Ridge, GA; daughters and son-in-laws, Linda and Wayne Johnson Cherry Log, GA, Lynn and Rev. Phillip Weeks of Blue Ridge, GA; grandchildren, Paul and Laura Adams of Cleveland, TN, Michael and Maggie Earley and Drew Earley all of Blue Ridge, GA; great grandchildren, Noah Allen-Darden, Seth Robert Adams, and Madison Faith Earley; sister, Ola Johnson of Blue Ridge, GA; brother, Charlie Adams of SC.Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday April 1st, at 2:00 p.m. from the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Cantrell and Rev. Phillip Weeks officiating. Music will be provided by the Helping Hand Church Choir. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Michael Earley, Jr., Paul Adams, Drew Earley, Jimmy Gindorff, Nip Adams, Phillip Weeks, and Brandy Adams.
