Mrs. Etta Mattie Ballew, age 98, of Mineral Bluff, GA passed away July 14, 2014 at her home. Born in Cherokee County, NC she was the daughter of the Manuel and Dovie Garren Hyatt. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Reid Ballew. Survivors include her children, Juanita Hardigree of Smyrna, GA, Pat Brown of Marietta, GA, R.J. Ballew and Carol Seymour both of Mineral Bluff, GA and Evelyn Gibbs of McCaysville, GA; one sister, Jeanette McDaris (Jimmy) of Smyrna, GA; eleven grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren also survive.Graveside services will be Wednesday July 16, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. from the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev.
