Mrs. Ethel Allen, age 83 of McCaysville, GA passed away on Wednesday March 12, 2008 in the Northside Hospital in Canton, GA. She was a native of Fannin County, the daughter of the late Henry and Annie Payne Dunn. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother who will be greatly missed. She was a longtime member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wade Allen; brothers, Harvey, Charlie and Major Dunn; sisters, Wealthy Patterson, Minnie Addison and Bangel Dunn; one grandson, Jimmy Burk. Survivors include sons and daughter-in-laws, Carl and Agnes Allen and David and Anita Allen all of McCaysville, GA Calvin and Connie Allen of Copperhill, TN and Jake and Harold Allen both of McCaysville; daughters and son-in-laws, Annie Ruth and the late Robert Rymer of McCaysville, GA and Darlene and Lucas Burk of Epworth; brothers, Amos Dunn of Blue Ridge, GA and Billy and Patty Dunn of Flowery Branch, GA; sisters, Lucy and the late Ed Allen of Mineral Bluff, GA and Mary Lou and Corbin Ware of Murphy, NC; sister-in-laws, Pat Dunn, Elaine Roberts and Bertha Dunn; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday March 16, at 2:00 p.m. from the Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. John Newton and Rev. Ed O'Neal officiating. Music was provided by the O'Neal Family. Interment followed in the Patterson Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: James Rymer, Richard Rymer, Eugene Rymer, Roger Rymer, Marvin Allen and Bobby Burk. The following gentlemen served as honorary pallbearers: Chris Graham, Greg Greene, Alex Deal, Anthony Rymer, Wade Rymer and Lucas Burk.
