Etha Mae Panther, age 86 of Copperhill, TN, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2008 in the Copper Basin Medical Center. Mrs. Panther was a native of Polk County, TN., born on November 16, 1921 to the late Georgia Goss. She had been employed at Copper Basin Medical Center in the housekeeping department. Mrs. Panther was a member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church in Postell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Panther; son, Jerry Panther and daughter, Barbara Nanney.She was survived by a daughter, Charline Montgomery of Postell, TN; eight grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with the Rev. Frank Fisher officiating. Music was by Raven Welch. Interment followed in the Zion Hill cemetery. Pallbearers were Marty Rhodes, Darrell Mathis, Dwayne Nanney, Glen Hughes and Bill Wilson.
