Mr. Eric Charles Meissner, Jr., age 51, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away on January 10, 2016. Born in Dover, New Jersey he was the son of the late Susan Joyce Pawlowicz Meissner. He had most recently been employed by Home Depot with the Mets Team. He was a member of the Macedonia Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of almost 27 years, Debbie Chancey Meissner of the home; children and their spouses, Brittney and Michael Pittman of Mineral Bluff, GA, Brandon and Lorrie Meissner of Ft. Bragg, NC and Derick Meissner of Pigeon Forge, TN; father, Eric Charles Meissner, Sr. of Blue Ridge, GA; brother, Pete Meissner of Blue Ridge, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Tuesday and Randy Combs of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Mallory and Brantley Pittman and Kennedy Meissner; mother and father-in-law, Don and Mary Chancey of Blue Ridge, GA; brother-in-law and wife, Danny and Wanda of Chatsworth, GA. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Min. Justin Mason officiating. Music was led by Shannon Bearden. Interment followed in the Boardtown Church of Christ Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Larry Chastain, Junior Deal, Bud Kirby, Jayce Gibbs, Brian Pope and Danny Chancey.
