Mrs. Era Mae Panter Beach, age 102 of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Thursday, December 17, 2009 in the Heritage Health Care Center in Blue Ridge, GA. Mrs. Beach was born in Fannin County, GA on September 2, 1907 to the late Joe Panter and Margaret Hughes Panter. She was a member of Barnes Chapel Church and was preceded in death by her husband George W. Beach. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, James and Betty Beach of Blue Ridge, GA and Junior and Carol Beach of Blue Ridge; daughters and son-in-law, Dorothy Carrol of Blue Ridge, Martha Jean Loving of Blue Ridge, Lora Anderson of Woodstock, GA and Rosa and Joe Russell of Epworth, GA; 22 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and 55 great great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 2:00 p.m.from the Barnes Chapel Church with Rev. Billy Ray Queen, Rev. Glen Collis, and Rev. Harold Weeks officiating. Music was by the Damascus Church Choir. Pallbearers were Kenneth Anderson, Larry Beach, Larry Queen, Glen Curtis, Ricky Beach, and Randy Beach. Honorary pallbearers were Tim Curtis, Bob Queen, Clinton Raper, and Clint Mashburn. Interment followed in Chastain Memorial Park. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
