The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces the death of Mrs. Emma Elzadie Kelley, age 63 of Epworth, GA who passed away Friday, December 4, 2009 in the Fannin Regional Hospital. She was born on November 21, 1946 in Floyd County, GA to the late Homer Levi and Millie Elzadie Earley Carden. Mrs. Kelley was employed with The Trailer of Blue Ridge. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband Rex Kelley of the home; son, Michael Kelley of Epworth; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Ricky Chastain of Epworth and Valerie and Homer Deal of Epworth; sister, Christine Dills of Mineral Bluff; five grandchildren, Joshua Stillwell, Shawn Stillwell, Shane Kelley, Nathan Kelley and Cheyanne Jones; one great granddaughter, Kyla Stillwell. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 7, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. from the Mobile Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Queen officiating. Music will be by Edward Vest and Jan Pelfrey. Pallbearers will be Joshua Stillwell, Shawn Stillwell, Bruce Deal, Raymond Ross, Mike York and Bryan Stillwell. Honorary Pallbearers, Leo Passi, Bobby Dills and Spencer Dilbeck. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, December 6, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to help defray final expenses.
