The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces the death of Mrs. Elzie Estelle Pittman, age 94, of Blue Ridge, who passed away Monday, September 1, 2008. Elzie was a native of Fannin County and was a daughter of the late David and Lilar Burnette Bradley. She was retired from the Constilation Carpets where she worked in the yarn division. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting and was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by four daughters, Marlene Payne of the Mobile area of McCaysville, GA, Mary Head of Dalton, GA, Monteen "Teeny" Queen of McCaysville, GA, Eulene Harper of Mineral Bluff, GA; twenty one grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great- great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 3rd at 2:00 PM from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Ricky Hicks officiating. Music will be provided by Melinda Trimm, Melissa Hicks and Lori Clayton. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Dennis Allen, Billy Lawrence, Riley Hedden, Freddy Prince, Chad Allen, and Marvin Fortner. Interment will follow in the Kingtown Baptist Church Cemetery.
