Elvena Esther Holland, age 91, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Monday, September 9, 2013 in the Fannin Regional Hospital in Blue Ridge, GA. She was born in Frostproof, FL on July 18, 1922 to the late Joel D. Moser and Mary Simmons Moser. She worked as an accountant for the HRS of the State of Florida. She then volunteered and later retired from the Lee County School Board. She was preceded in death by a great grandchild Jonathon Lovett. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Dean Daugherty of Blue Ridge; sisters, Verena Barnes and Mary Alligood of Lake Wales, FL; four grandchildren, Debbie Holcomb, David Johns, Luke McDonald, and Tim McDonald; five great grandchildren, Crystal McCowan, Tina Chambers, Shane McDonald, Emily McDonald, Dakota McDonald, and Skyler McDonald; and two great great grandchildren, Emma Chambers and Jonathon Chambers. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Daniel Postelle officiating. Pallbearers were Luke McDonald, Tim McDonald, and Jerry Holcomb. Interment followed in the Chastain Memorial Park.
