Elsie Lucille Padgett, age 95, of Turtletown, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2019. She was born in Turtletown on December 19, 1923 to the late John Wesley Burger and Ruth Mariar Stuart Burger. She was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Clemer Edgar Padgett; son, Dennis Padgett; and sisters, Jewel Verner and Pauline Taylor. She is survived by her children, Norma Gibson and Mary Millholland; grandchildren, Sandra (Danny) Presley, Melanie (Jay) Pelham, Jamey (Samantha) Taylor, Victor (Danette) Gibson, Sharon (Gary) Oliver, and David Padgett; great-grandchildren, Matthew Nicholson, Michael Nicholson, Taylor Presley, Kylie Presley, and Nicholas Gibson; and great-great-grandchildren, Liam Nicholson and Owen Nicholson. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, November 29, 2019 at 2:00 PM from Maple Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Renny Whittenbarger officiating. Music will be provided by Ed Vest. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Jamey Taylor, Nicholas Gibson, Danny Presley, Harold Dillard, Glen Hughes and Matthew Nicholson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Vic Gibson, Gary Davis, James Pelham, Bobby Kajander, , and Michael Nicholson.
