Mr. Elmer Gene Fox, age 75 of Chatsworth, GA passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011 in the Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, GA. Mr. Fox was born on March 1, 1936 in Fannin County to the late Lorene Fox. He was retired after thirty years from Marta as a bus driver. Survivors include wife, Frances Carolyn Cochran Fox of the home; two sons, Darrell Fox of Chatsworth, GA and Richard Fox of Buchanan, GA; three daughters, Janet Harris of Manchester, GA, Wanda Hambrick of Griffin, GA and Lisa of Greenville, SC; thirteen grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Roy Clore and Rev. Danny Queen officiating. Music was by Bill Cochran. Interment followed in the Stock Hill Cemetery with a "White Dove" release. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
