Obituary

Mrs. Ella Mae Postell Williamson, age 76, of Epworth, GA passed away Sunday, November 9, 2008 at her home. She was born in Fannin County on May 30, 1932 to the late John McKinley Postell and Althea Jane McArthur Postell. She worked as a sewing machine operator for Levi Strauss and was a member of Colwell Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother, Arvil Postell and a sister, Georgiana Postell. She is survived by her husband, Guinn Williamson of Epworth; son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Freda Williamson of Epworth; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Freddie Epperson of Epworth; brothers, Jess Postell of Epworth, Bill Postelle of Blue Ridge, and Burlin Postelle of Dalton; grandchildren, Cody Williamson, Brandon Williamson, and Emily Epperson; nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Friday, November 14, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from Colwell Baptist Church with Rev. Max Curtis, Rev. Glenn Collis, and Rev. Doug Williamson officiating. Music was by The McArthur Family and Nancy Watkins. Pallbearers were Arnold Postell, Tad Postelle, Jason Postell, John Postell, David Postell, and Harold Postelle. Honorary pallbearers were Ricky Chastain, Barry Williamson, Mark Williamson, Cory Callihan, David Collett, Morris Callihan, John Chastain, Ray Workman, Roy Crawford, James Davenport, Johnny Montgomery, Raymond Ross, Robert Crawford, Mike Williamson, Ryan Chastain, and Ray Workman. Interment followed in Colwell Church Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the Williamson family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge was in charge of arrangements.
