Mrs. Ella Mae McArthur, age 92, of Epworth, GA passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2008 in the Fannin Regional Hospital in Blue Ridge, GA. Born in Fannin County, she was the daughter of the late Montville Ash and Senah Watson Ash. She was a member of Hipps Chapel Church since 1934 and was preceded in death by her husband Delos McArthur. She is survived a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Gay McArthur of Dalton, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Rev. Delmar Davenport of Epworth, GA; grandchildren, Casey McArthur, Brittany McMillan, Eric Davenport, and Amberley McGill; great grandchildren, Caitlyn Holmes, Lillian Phillips, Emily McGill, Myia Davenport, and Ethan McGill. Funeral services were conducted Friday, November 21, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Hipps Chapel Church with Rev. Delmar Davenport, Rev. Ernest German, and Rev. Daniel Postelle officiating. Music was by the Hipps Chapel Church Choir. The following nephews served as pallbearers: James Ash, Johnny Phillips, Wilburn Dyer, Earl Phillips, Richard Davis, Lee McClure, and Chris Toole. Interment followed in Hipps Chapel Community Cemetery. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge was in charge of arrangements.
