Elizabeth Ruth Payne, age 54, of Farner passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. Elizabeth was born in Copperhill, TN to the late Franklin Delano Deal and Reva Elaine Johnson Deal. She was a dedicated employee at Hardee's working as the General Manger for 24 years. Elizabeth was known for always being happy, and truly enjoyed being around other people. Her faith and love for the good Lord was the cornerstone of her life. She was an active member at Community Baptist church singing in the choir, helping clean the church, and always willing to lend a hand at church events. Elizabeth loved her family and cherished every moment spent with them. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and best friend.

Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents, Franklin and Reva Deal; sibling, Jacqueline Rose Deal; and father-in-law, Sunny Payne.

She is survived by her husband, Randall Payne; daughter, Grace (Trent Smith) Payne; siblings, Trois "Tony" Wayne Deal, Franklin Delano (Dee) Deal, Hugh Alan (JoAnn) Deal, Rebecca Jane (Donnie) Callihan, David Bryan (Carolynn) Deal, and John Cory Deal; mother-in-law, Rosie Payne; brothers-in-law, Randy (Susie) Payne, and Edward (Donna) Payne; special friends, Patricia Harris and Angela Raper; and many loved nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 2:00 PM from the Community Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Smith and Rev. Phillip Trentham officiating. Music will be provided by Nakema Smith, Abbey Arp, and Gracie Burkett. Interment will follow in the Community Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brandon Payne, Dillon Payne, Brett Payne, Tyler Jory, Rev. Mitchell Allen, and Eddie Gilmore. Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Callihan, Edward Payne, Randy Payne, Ray Raper, Justin Trentham, and Trent Smith. The family will receive friends at the Community Baptist Church on Thursday, April 16, 2026 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
