Elizabeth Kathalina Nelson, affectionately known as Koty, Beth, or Kathy, passed away on February 8, 2024, at the age of 55. She was born on September 16, 1968, in Los Angeles, California, and most recently resided in Blue Ridge, Georgia.
Elizabeth had a zest for life and was always seeking new adventures. She loved trips to the beach and cherished visits to Florida. Hungarian cuisine, especially her mother's cooking, held a special place in her heart. Elizabeth had a deep appreciation for Christian and Country music and found solace in its melodies. She had a deep love for black bears, coffee, and crafting wreaths.
One of Elizabeth's lifelong dreams was to visit Budapest, Hungary, where her parents were born. Her family meant everything to her, and she found joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren. The presence of her loved ones was her favorite place in the world.
Elizabeth was a proud supporter of the Gilmer bobcats and Fannin rebels, cheering on her grandsons in their sporting endeavors. Her dogs, Daisy Sue and Ellie Rose, were her constant companions and brought her immeasurable joy.
As a foster mother, Elizabeth made a significant impact on the lives of children in need. Her love and care touched everyone she knew, as she had an extraordinary ability to give unconditional love.
Elizabeth's faith was an integral part of her life. She found solace in attending church, reading her Bible, and participating in outreach programs whenever she could.
She is survived by her children Kristina Marie and Craig Morin, Sarah Elizabeth and Brandon Ausband, Amanda Jacqueline and Nathon Hooper, and her grandchildren Athena and Craig Morin III, Jace Ausband, Grayson Michael Ausband, and Amileaya MagDolina McMorran. Elizabeth is also survived by her siblings, Laszlo Kosa and his wife Dawn, Maria, and Rocky Rutland, as well as her niece and nephews, April and RJ Rosner, Mark Rutland, Mike Kosa, Joshua Kosa, and Lesley Andreas.
Elizabeth Kathalina Nelson will be remembered as a vibrant and loving individual who touched the lives of those around her. Her legacy of unconditional love and her devotion to her family will forever be cherished.
