Mrs. Elizabeth G. "Lillian" Diaz, age 90 of Dallas, TX, formerly of Blue Ridge, passed away January 22, 2011 in Dallas, TX. She was born December 22, 1920 in New York the daughter of the late John and Anna Markum Herbig. She was of the Catholic Faith. Survivors include two daughters and son-in-laws, Charolette and Mario D'Angelo of Dallas, TX and Maria Elena and Al Boza of Cooper City, FL; son and daughter-in-law, Ralph II and Cheryl Diaz of Blue Ridge, GA; sisters, Evelyn Dickinson of Leesburg, FL and Barbara Reedy of Monroe, Washington; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Barbara Shewak of Lady Lake, FL; grandchildren, Lisa (Mark) Bulloch and Leeann (Jimmy)Mansker, Christina Boza, Samantha (Jason) Welch, Andrew Diaz, and Katie Thornton; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother-in-law, Joseph Diaz. Funeral services were conducted Saturday January 29, at 10:00 a.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Father John Conway officiating. Pallbearers were Elvis Anderson, Chris Anderson, Jimmy Mansker, Mark Bulloth, Andrew Diaz and Jason Welch. Interment followed in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery.
