Elbert "Junior" Rhodes, age 64, of Blue Ridge, Georgia passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at his home. He was born on May 23, 1960 in Copperhill, Tennessee to Thomas "Elb" Elbert Rhodes and Carolyn Louise Dockery Rhodes. Junior loved fishing, classic cars, camping, and shooting guns.

Junior is preceded in death by his father, Thomas "Elb" Elbert Rhodes; and niece, Heather (Richard) Gazaway.

He is survived by his loving mother, Carolyn Louise Rhodes of Blue Ridge, GA; sisters, Glenda (Wayne) Stover of Blue Ridge, GA, Tonya Rhodes Brown of Turtletown, TN, and Krystal (Jeff) Davenport of Chatsworth, GA; nieces and nephews, David Stover, Bryson (Marta) Setser, Bradley (Linsey) Setser, Nichaelia Rhodes, J.T. Thrasher, and Toby Deaton; and great nieces, Skylar Gazaway and Riley Gazaway.

The family visited with friends at the Akins-Cobb of Blue Ridge on Sunday, November 3, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with Brother Ronnie Merrell officiating. Interment followed in the Sunrise Tabernacle Church Cemetery. Serving as honorary pallbearers were: Jerry Dockery, Wayne Stover, Harold Rhodes, and Charles McKee.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Pruitt Health Hospice of Blue Ridge for all they have done. Especially his nurses Mary, Nancy, and Morgan.
