The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces the death of Edwina McFarland Gaddis, age 63, of Cleveland, TN, who passed away Tuesday, August 26th in the Skyridge Medical Center. Edwina was a native of the Copper Basin area and was a daughter of the late James and Lois Dobbins McFarland. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her brother, James "Mutt" McFarland.She is survived by son, Jimmy Gaddis of Cleveland, TN; two daughters, Shannon Gaddis and Rhonda Goode, both of Cleveland, TN; eight grandchildren;one great-grandchild; many other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 29th at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill chapel with Rev. Donald Weaver officiating. Pallbearers include, Jimmy Gaddis, Josh Gaddis, Jacob Reed, Dustin Gaddis, Stephen Reed, Chase Floyd, Lee Allen, Christian Willis and Jason Goode. Honorary pallbearers include, Cole Gaddis and Katrina Allen. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill Baptist Church cemetery.
