The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces the death of Mr. Edwin Niles Heiron, Jr. age 80 of Blue Ridge who passed away on Friday February 22, 2008 at the Life Care Center of Ducktown, TN. Born in Keego Harbor, MI he was the son of the late Edwin N. Sr. and Alice Lewis Heiron. Mr. Heiron worked as a Tax Assesor and Appraiser in the Township of Bloomfield Hills. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Navy. Mr. Heiron also was a licensed pilot for many years. Survivors include two sons, Douglas Edwin Heiron of Blue Ridge, GA and Charles L. Heiron of Lawrenceville, GA; two daughters, Janice K. Mora of Clarkston, MI and Patricia Lynn Earehart of Hayward, CA; one sister, Jinna Heiron of MI; ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.A memorial service will be held at a later date in his birth town of Keego Harbor, MI, with interment following in Oakfield, NY.
