Ed Stonner was born December 12, 1933 in Kansas City, Missouri. He died, September 27, 2025 due to complications of a fractured hip at the age of 91. He moved to Blue Ridge in 2020 to be closer to family. While in Blue Ridge he enjoyed playing golf with the senior group at Whitepath Golf Course, going to live music events at the Blue Coyote, listening to Shannon York perform, making trips to Ingles, and watching Fannin County football. Being a former high school girl's basketball coach he really enjoyed watching the Fannin County girls' high school and middle school basketball programs.

He is survived by his wife Linda, son John, daughter Tara Briggs (Mark), two grandchildren Lindsay Kline (Michael) and Katie Cronin (Hugh), and four great grandchildren. Thank you to everyone for making his time in Blue Ridge and surrounding area a special one.
