Edward "Big Ed" Kropewnicki, age 75, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2026. Ed was born on August 4, 1951 in Wilkes-Barre, PA and was the son of Lloyd McKenzie and the late Dorothy Joan O'Kunieska McKenzie.

Ed retired from Florida Power & Light after more than 25 years of dedicated service as a substation electrician. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors, but his greatest joy was being with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren. Ed was known for his wonderful sense of humor and his love of laughing and joking with those around him.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Fern Kropewnicki; children, Traci (Richard) Smith and Gianna Ricci; grandchildren, George, James, and Alli; siblings, Patricia (Chuck) Kittrell and Nancy (Late, Douglas) Lenz; and his beloved K-9 companion, Zoey.

A memorial service will be hosted by Ed's family at a later date.
