Edna G. Parker, age 87, of Alpharetta, GA passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at The Oaks Assisted Living Facility in Alpharetta, GA. She was born on February 15, 1936 in Fannin County, GA to the late Forest and Frances Key. Mrs. Parker belonged to Cornerstone Baptist Church while she lived in Blue Ridge, until she moved down to Atlanta and lived at Calvin Court after her husband James passed. She then moved to The Oaks in Alpharetta until her death.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James P. Parker.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Maria Genia Parker of Cocoa, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Edward Zieseniss of Roswell, GA; four grandchildren, Melisa Parker, Winston Douglas II, Abigail Zieseniss, and Emily Zieseniss; and two great grandchildren, Shirley Parker and James Douglas.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 4:00 P.M. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Dr. Rusty Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the Colwell Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, prior to the service from 2:00 P.M. until the service hour of 4:00 P.M.
